Future Plans of Ramesh Agarwal - Chairman of Agarwal Movers Group

Ramesh Agarwal, chairman Agarwal Movers Group, turns 50 today. He also completes 25 years in the business. He talks about his future plans

The only dream Ramesh Agarwal embraced was that of touching the skies. He achieved this quite literally when he joined the Indian Air Force. Figuratively he touched the skies all over again when he set up his own enterprise in the packing and moving sector and led it to become a multi crore empire. When you look at the spread and reach of his business today , it sounds impossible that all this came about on a meager initial loan of Rs4,000. For a man who believes that your altitude in life depends almost entirely on attitude, it seems natural that he has made so big.

Ramesh Agarwal and his younger brother Rajender Agarwal now considers its Corporate Social Responsibility to address the matter which they had deeply pondered for last few years ie the life of the drivers on the highway. They have now come up with the concept of APM Driver Seva Kendra that shall provide decent amenities and various other services all under one roof and too free. To start with they have identified Dudu, near  Jaipur at NH8. It will be first of its kind corporate initiative to recognize the services of the real drives of country’s economy. They wish to take the fruits of economic reforms right where the drivers are i.e. on the Highways. Speaking at the occasion Agarwal said, “We shall provide them an environment that will take away their stress and rejuvenate them for their onward journey as the living and working conditions of these drivers are neither organized nor healthy. The wayside amenities on the highways for the truckers are non existent nor any government organisation giving attention to this long standing demand of the transporters.”

Agarwal Movers Group invites all to India’s Ist APM Driver Seva Kendra on September 7.
APM Driver Seva Kendra is an initiative taken for real heroes — truck drivers of our nations’s economy and development. Agarwal Movers Group salutes their yeoman services in the development of the nation.
